Technical Support – eOfficeMgr provisions the server with your choice of Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows Server 2016 and Microsoft Backup and Antimalware. Prices above include basic support: automatic updates, restarts and performance monitoring.
eOfficeMgr will provide as much additional support in managing your server as you want. We can add users, change security policies, install and update applications, provide application support, etc. Additional support will be charged at the current rate, which is now $33.75/qtr. hr. with a $13.50/request minimum.
Server configuration – eOfficeMgr will recommend an initial server configuration. If you decide within the first 90 days that you would like a different configuration, e.g., more cores or more memory, we will make the change free of charge. A change in compute resources will result in a change in your monthly charge for those resources. Changes after 90 days will be charged at the then current technical support rate.
Server access and management – You may access your server using Remote Desktop Connection (RDC). RDC is already installed on all Microsoft operating systems. Apple users must download that program from the Apple store. Your primary user will be included in the server Administrators group so you have complete control over your server configuration and maintenance.
Data storage – All data is stored in 3 places in each of 2 geographically distant data centers.
Server location – The server will be located in a data center in the same geographic region that you are in to improve performance.
Scheduled - eOfficeMgr will set a schedule of your choice for the hours you want the server to be running, e.g., 9:00AM – 5:00PM, M - F. While the server is running you incur compute and storage charges whether anyone is logged on or not. While the server is not running you do not incur compute charges, only storage charges. If you want to run the server off schedule for some reason or you want to change the schedule, you’ll have to submit a support request to eOfficeMgr to do that for you. This option is recommended for most organizations.
On-Demand - This option provides you with the ability to turn the server on and off whenever you choose. You can also set up and change a schedule. You incur compute charges only while the server is running. You may combine the Scheduled and On-Demand options. This is recommended for organizations that must occasionally work weekends. This option costs an additional $25/mo.
Always On – This option leaves the server running all the time, 24/7/365. It is recommended only for organizations that need server access around the clock, seven days a week.
